My wife and I have been honored to call Lisa Fernald our friend for many years. When you see Lisa’s heart for music combined with her dedication to serve others and matched with her talent, you find a rare combination in our world today.

I have seen Lisa in many different roles - a church staff member, a worship leader and musician, and an administrator just to name a few. She comes with a wealth of musical experience and knowledge. However, she also comes with years of serving the church and local music ministry.

Her desire to see the worship of the church flourish and connect with God is so evident in her ministry and her life. I have had the privilege of working with Lisa on numerous occasions. We worked together in various worship settings, small camp setting and big church audience.

Lisa has always led with the same passion and focus, giving her absolute best. She has a great ability to anticipate spontaneous moments and guide an entire worship team towards the best outcome.

She has great technical skills and gave the worship team necessary guidance as an MD both in musical theory and also in listening and helping the musicians work together in unity.

Lisa has been teaching both of my daughters for three years and their lesson with her is a time they look forward to every week! She is knowledgeable in her skills, patient with her students and has a positive attitude every time she sits at the piano to teach. With her help and skills, my daughters have continually advanced in their piano playing and are falling in love with music. She progresses them at a pace they can handle so that practicing is not overwhelming to them.

Lisa loves God and loves people! I trust her with her time with my daughters knowing that when they are with her they are not only learning about the piano but also being encouraged to be who they are! I consider Lisa an asset to my children's growth in life and are so thankful we found her to lead my daughters musically. 

I met Lisa in 2009 when our ministry worlds joined together! Lisa was our Vocal + Choir Director at the church that I attended at the time. I was a young, inexperienced worship leader that needed a mentor to help grow the areas I felt weak in. She worked with me, not just in a technical sense, but also spiritual one. And helped me truly understand how to lead with excellence, giving me the tools to grow my confidence in the gift of leading worship.

I played piano as a child, but learned mostly through memorization. Lisa made it fun and easy to figure out new songs through chord reading. I have known Lisa for over 20 years.  Lisa led worship at our Arizona Youth Camps, the camps that Lisa led were some of our most powerful camps.  

She was the utmost professional as I worked with her.  She has a servant’s heart and was very easy to work with.  It was during these camps that I saw her raising up other worshippers.  She taught students and leaders how to worship, what it means to worship and how to use their gifts.  

Lisa also served for many years as one of our adjudicators at our Fine Arts Festival.  She would provide constructive criticism and she would speak life into these students, helping them with their God-given talents.  Lisa, is one of the best!  I highly recommend her to you.
